Description
Alle Belle / Goan Coconut Jaggery Pancakes are a very delicious goan pancake recipe. This sweet dish is mostly served at evening teatimes, desserts, and some festive occasions. Check this recipe on how to make Goan pancakes with jaggery and shredded coconut.
Ingredients
For Alle Belle Pancake Batter
- 250Â gms maida (Refined Flour)
- 2Â eggs (slightly beaten)
- 1/2 cup milk
- water for making batter
- oil / ghee
- salt as required
For Alle Belle Pancake Filling
- 1Â coconut freshly grated
- 1Â goan palm jaggery ((grated or broken into fine pieces))
- 3 – 4 green cardamon pods (powdered)
Instructions
For Alle Belle / Goan Pancake Filling
- For Alle Belle Recipe, first mix the shredded coconut, jaggery and powedered cardomons and add them in the vessel with little water, let it cook till the jaggery melts and water dissolves, then let it cool down.
For Alle Belle / Goan Pancakes Batter
- In a Mixing Bowl add maida and salt and mix well
- Then add the beaten eggs, milk and water and mix to make a thin batter dropping consistency. (not too thick)
- Heat little oil in the frying pan and pour little batter and spread evenly on the frying pan.
- Cook on one side only and try to lift it, when freely movable, remove and keep aside.
Assembling Goan Pancakes / Alle Belle
- Place the Pancakes on the plate and the required filling mixture in the center and roll the pancake and keep aside and do the others also.
- Serve the Alle Belle / Goan Coconut Pancakes with jaggery on a good serving plate for evening tea time.
Notes
- if goan jaggery is not available then cane jaggery also can be used
