Description
Broken Wheat Kheer / Broken Wheat Payasam is a very healthy dish. You can prepare this with jaggery for any occasions. It is absolutely delicious and easy to make.

- 1 cup broken wheat
- 2.5 cups water
- 1 cup jaggery
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 2 cardomons
- cup powdered coconut milk (from onefreshly grated coconut)
Instructions
- Cook broken wheat in pressure cooker, with water, till very soft. It normally takes about 10 minutes
- Add jaggery to nearly boiled cooked wheat and let it simmer for a minute more, uncovered, stirring all the time to avoid burning. Remove from heat.
- Mix coconut milk with cornflour and add to porridge on a low flame. Allow it to almost boil but do not keep boiling for any length of time
- Add caradomon powder and serve hot or cold
