- 2 cups Rice (parboiled rice, washed and soaked overnight)
- 3/4 cup Grated Coconut
- water
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp Yeast
- salt (as required)
Instructions
- For Goan Steamed Rice Cake, first, drain the rice and grind finely with water
- Then Grind the coconut finely.
- Mix together rice, coconut, sugar, yeast
- Keep it aside for 3 hours till the mixture level rises
- Then add salt and mix well
- Grease the idli moulds and pour the batter in it.
- Then steam for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve Goan Sannas with goan pork sorpotel goes very well.
Notes
- Add Toddy if available while grinding the coconut for better taste
