Ingredients
- 500 gms fish fillets pomfrets / salmon / Kingfish
- 1/2 tsp lime juice
- 3 leaves banana leaves (for fish wrapping)
- salt
Patrani Machi Chutney
- 1 cup coriander leaves
- 1 cup mint leaves pudina
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 4 green chillies
- 1 cup coconut grated
- 7 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- salt to taste
Instructions
- This Patrani Macchi is very easy to make, first wash and Clean the fish with water and apply lime juice and little salt and marinate it for 30 minutes.
- Blend the the Patrani Machi chutney ingredients in a blender to a smooth paste
- Make thin slits on the fish on both sides and apply this chutney on the fish and in the slits
- Place the banana leaves on the steamer for a few seconds on both sides, which make the leaves soft.
- Now wrap the fish pieces completely with the banana leaves with a string tied around to keep it firm.
- And to Cook Patrani Macchi steam it for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Now the Patrani Machchi is ready and serve this dish with the leaves wrapped and steamed rice and murgi ma kaju chicken dish.

We prepared this patrani machi for the festival, it was too good. All of us enjoyed it.
