Ingredients
- 40 – 50 clams / tisreo / tisrya
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 medium chopped onions
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 2 green chillies slit
- 1/2 cup Grated Coconut
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- pinch of sugar
- 1 cup tbsp Tamarind (soaked in 1/4warm water)
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- 4 tbsp oil
- salt as per taste
Instructions
- For Goan Tisre Sukhem, first, wash the Clams nicely and open them.
- Then retain the clams half containing the flesh and 3/4 cup clams water as stock
- In the pan heat oil and ginger garlic paste and fry for few seconds
- Then add onions and fry till are transparent
- Then add turmeric powder and chilli powder and fry for a few seconds
- Add the clams, green chillies, grated coconut, garam masala, sugar, tamarind water, 1 tbsp coriander leaves, salt and stock water which was kept aside.
- Mix all the ingredients very well and the cover the pan and let it cook on low flame till the water dries up and the clams are cooked
- Garnish it with the remaining coriander leaves and serve the Tisreo Sukhe / Goan Clams Dry with pulao or steamed rice and Goan Curry
