Description
Ground Rice Pudding / Muallabia with Rice Recipe is one of the classic desserts. Muhallabia is the arabic name that this delicate middle eastern dessert, made from ground rice and flavoured with rose-water. This is very popular in the Middle East and very tasty Sweet Dish prepared with almonds.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup coarsely ground rice
- 2 tbsp ground almonds
- 4 green cardamon pods (crushed)
- 3 cups + 3/4semi skimmed milk
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp rose water
- 1 tbsp crushed pistachio nuts for garnishing
Instructions
- Place the ground rice and almonds in a saucepan with the green caradomons. Add 2 and 1/2 cups milk and bring to boil over a medium heat, stirring occasionally
- Add the remaining milk and cook over a medium heat for about 10 minutes or until the rice mixture thicken to the consistency of a creamy chicken soup
- Stir in the sugar and rose water and continue to cooks for a further 2 minutes. Serve garnished with pistachio nuts.
