Ingredients
- 1/4 cup candied orange and lemon peels chopped
- 1/4 cup seedless dates chopped
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts chopped
- 1/4 cup currants chopped
- 1/4 cup raisins chopped
- 2 tbsp brandy
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4Â refined flour
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/4 tsp clove powder
- 1/4 tsp nutmug powder
- 1 cup +1/2fresh white bread crumbs
- 6 tbsp butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2Â eggs beaten
- 3 cups water
Instructions
- Mix well orange and lemon peel, dates, cashew nuts, currants, raisins, brandy and lemon juice.
- Sift together flour, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg powders, Mix in breadcrumbs.
